Dr Li is a Consultant in Public Health with over twenty years experience in the delivery of health, service improvements and system change at local, regional, national and international level. 

First trained as a General Practitioner in the East End of London, she went on to train as a public health physician. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health since 2001. 

She has held a number of Board and Executive Director level roles in the NHS, in Government Departments and in the Third Sector.  She is the founder and Chair of the Chinese National Healthy Living Centre, a UK wide charity, since 1987, a Trustee of the Thomas Coram Foundation for Children and Chair of Coram Voice.
