Healthy Chinese Takeaway Menus

This pilot project supports the Chinese Takeaways to develop, display & maintain Healthy Choice Menu in terms of nutritional balance so as to reinforce the value of traditional Chinese good cooking practices.
It aims to contribute to the heart health of the UK population as a whole, e.g. cardiovascular disease and non-insulin dependent diabetes.
The training seminars to highlight:
  1. The basic principles of good nutrition
  2. The importance of choice of cooking methods and the selection of ingredients
  3. The awareness of how food and exercise can contribute to the prevention of heart diseases
Following the training session, participants will be awarded a certificate which entitles them to display the Healthy Takeaways Project logo.
For project evaluation, questionnaire has been designed for takeaway customers to fill in.
