| Providing information and support for people affected by cancer |
| 1 in 3 people develop cancer during their lives. There is no single cause of cancer but lifestyle is an important attribute such as excessive smoking, drinking, unhealthy diet, no exercise, genetics, environmental and other factors. |
| During the cancer journey from symptoms, tests, diagnosis to treatment, survive/terminal care; people with cancer, their family and friends require comprehensive information and support. |
| The Macmillan Chinese Cancer Information Service aims to provide the followings: |
- Information and support is available in person at the Chinese National Healthy Living Centre (2 days per week and by appointment)
- Chinese and English information on cancer awareness and prevention
- Talks/Activities for the Chinese community organisations
- Chinese Information Drop-In (alternate week) at the Westminster Charing Cross Library
- Signposting to health and care organisations
