| Details: |
The London Chinese Disability and Carers Support Scheme is a community care/advocacy programme designed to cater for the identified needs of the disabled Chinese and Chinese carers residing in London. The drop-in service provides support and advocacy to all disabled clients, carers throughout all the London boroughs. The project also provides support, guidance and improved access to health care, social services and relevant statutory bodies and voluntary organisations. |

The Chinese Mental Health Advocacy Service is funded by the King’s Fund, to provide mental health advocacy services to Chinese students from overseas, New arrivals to the UK and First generation settlers living in the Greater London area. The advocate would be present to enable the voice of the target groups to be heard, using its specific skills in languages (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) and be culturally sensitive for their patients. Helping them to understand and obtain their rights. |
