Over 50 Chinese older people from Oxfordshire visited our Centre to learn about services that we provide for the elderly.

London Eye Visit for Older People

Chinese Delegation Visit

A Chinese delegation led by the Deputy Director of Development and Planning for the city of Shanghai visited our Centre.

Health Resource library in Leeds
July 2005
A CNHLC Health Resource library was established at the Leeds Chinese Community Association in July. Subsequently the Association bought 100 Fresh Chinese cook books from us.

Westminster Chinese Health Fair

Over 160 people visited the health fair and used its services.

Launch of 'Whispers of Time' DVD

The launch of the oral history DVD at the Museum of London - 'Whispers of Time' was a great success. Apart from having several VIP's and more than 160 people in the audience, it also generated a great deal of publicity for the Centre. To read more about this project, please click here.

The NSPCC National Conference 2005

The NSPCC National Conference on 'Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Chinese Children and Young People' in Leicester was a great success. Over 50 representatives from key service providers working for Chinese children and youth in different parts of the country participated in this whole day event.

Doncaster Health Fair

The Health Fair in Doncaster provided health checks with our bilingual NHS doctor and was well received.

Sunday Doctor Surgery in Liverpool
From Jan-2004 to Jan-2005
The Liverpool Sunday Doctor Surgery ran on the third Sunday of every month at the Liverpool (City) NHS Walk-in Centre. A bilingual NHS doctor was available on the day to provide medical advice or referral to GP. There were also health screening checks for the local Chinese community.
